After-dinner gelato

Presented in various formats and different flavours it is a popular treat that appeals to consumers of all ages. An exquisite delicacy that will give a soft and creamy finish to any meal. Gelato and sorbets also aid digestion when consumed at the end of a meal as they stimulate the flow of blood to the stomach.
Gourmet gelato
The creation of gourmet gelato, as an ideal start or finish to a meal, is recognized to Sandro Desii, the author of “Tutto Gelato”, and Enzo Vannozzi: they both proposed, almost simultaneously in Barcelona and Viareggio, innovative and often savoury gourmet gelato flavours. The Italian Cuisine Academy has also rightfully included in its “ecumenical” dinners an infinite series of gastronomic treats featuring gelato.
